Â?

Â?

Â? Â? Let’s get the year started right.Â? –

Please be in prayer over these three items.

Â?

Â?

Â?

Individuals:

Consider everything that has happened to you over this past year, the ups and the downs… Like all of you, our elected officials have all dealt with deeply personal issues. Pray that the believers would have the fire in their hearts rekindled, and the non believers would be powerfully drawn to Him! Let’s not forget about all of the support staff, researchers and interns, whose long hours have a profound impact on legislation, legislators, staff,

and the families of every person involved. Â? (When you agree or disagree with their position on a given issue does not change their personal family stress!)Â?

Â?

Please pray for your Representative and Senator by name, and take the time to pray for those who run their office on a daily bases.

Biblical unity:

Consider all the motivations and influences that affect the actions of the hundreds of people in our state government. We are not talking about sitting around the camp fire holding hands and singing. We are referring to true Biblical unity; a desire to honor Christ should drive us to stand together for the edification of the body of Christ. But remember… unity at all cost is not Biblical unity… its compromise!

Â?

Pray that our elected officials would be driven by neither their own agendas, high dollar interest groups, or the upcoming elections, but rather by a passion to see Jesus Christ glorified through their actions.

Â?

Wisdom:

Knowledge and wisdom are two completely different things. Knowledge is something that anybody can learn. Â? Facts, dates, and figures can be learned from just about any ware. Â? But true wisdom can only come from one

place – Christ Himself.

Â?

Pray that God would grant all of us Godly wisdom and discernment as we strive to become a better reflection of His image. Â?
