HB 1498 Sponsored by Representative Hough (R), changes the laws regarding Sunday liquor sales, by allowing unfettered access to alcohol sales beginning at 9 in the morning on Sundays. HB 1498 will also authorize “table tap dispensing systems”, a system which integrates a beer tap into a table so individuals can drink as much as they want without having to walk back to the bar for a refill. This legislation would fundamentally alter Missouri’s laws regarding Sunday liquor sales, but literally blow the roof off of our current regulations. HB 1952 Sponsored by Representative Schatz (R), establishes the Meth Lab Elimination Act which reclassifies some forms of methamphetamine precursor drugs from Schedule IV and V controlled substances to Schedule III requiring a prescription. Heard in the House Crime Committee on Wednesday.
